Job Description

Our practice is dedicated to helping patients look their best and live beautifully through expert surgical and non-surgical care delivered with precision, compassion, and artistry. We're currently seeking a Registered Nurse who truly enjoys working closely with patients and supporting them throughout their surgical experience. This role focuses on hands-on clinical care, post-operative support, and assisting with daily clinic activities in our busy plastic surgery practice. While the position is patient-facing and clinically focused, it is not a role that will involve providing independent aesthetic or injector services. Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care and clinical support for surgical and non-surgical procedures. The RN plays a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient clinic operations while delivering high-quality pre- and post-procedure care. This position works closely with the plastic surgeon, advanced practice providers, and clinical team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Patient Care Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, vital signs, and documentation Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications and respond appropriately Administer medications, injections, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered Educate patients on procedures, recovery expectations, and aftercare instructions Procedural Support Assist the surgeon during in-office procedures and minor surgeries Prepare patients, procedure rooms, and equipment for surgical and aesthetic treatments Maintain sterile technique and comply with infection control standards Perform wound care, dressing changes, and suture removal as indicated Clinic Operations Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR) Manage clinical supplies, inventory, and equipment Support patient flow and clinic efficiency in a high-volume environment Coordinate care with providers and clinic staff to ensure seamless operations Qualifications Required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinic setting Prior experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, aesthetics, or outpatient surgical settings preferred Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Why Join Austin Plastic Surgeon?
