390 N 11th St, Beaumont, TX 77702 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our healthcare team. The Oncology NP will provide advanced clinical care to oncology patients, collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and support patients throughout their cancer treatment journey. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to care. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations. Diagnose, treat, and manage oncology and hematology patients under established protocols and physician collaboration. Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans. Monitor patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other cancer treatments. Order, interpret, and review laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies. Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, and disease management. Prescribe medications and supportive therapies in accordance with state regulations and practice guidelines. Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Participate in follow-up care, symptom management, and survivorship planning. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, patient safety standards, and organizational policies. Requirements Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license. Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Oncology experience preferred. Strong knowledge of oncology treatment protocols and patient care standards. Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Proficiency in EMR systems and clinical documentation. Preferred Qualifications Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) certification preferred. Prior experience in oncology clinics, infusion centers, or hospital oncology departments. Experience with chemotherapy management and patient education.
