Full Time + Benefits Correctional Facility Registered Nurse Duties Conduct inmate health assessments and nursing evaluations upon intake and during incarceration Monitor and document patients' medical conditions, symptoms, and treatment progress Administer medications, injections, IV therapy, and other prescribed treatments Respond to medical emergencies, injuries, and crisis situations within the facility Provide wound care, chronic disease management, and infection control services Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of inmate health information Educate inmates on health conditions, medications, hygiene, and preventive care Observe inmates for signs of mental health issues, withdrawal symptoms, or suicidal behavior Coordinate referrals to specialists, hospitals, or outside healthcare providers when necessary Ensure compliance with correctional healthcare policies, nursing standards, and safety regulations Collaborate with correctional officers and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to maintain a secure healthcare environment Perform routine screenings such as TB tests, vital signs, and laboratory specimen collection Participate in infection prevention and outbreak management within the facility Provide compassionate and professional care while maintaining firm professional boundaries Skills Required Strong clinical and emergency response skills Ability to work in high-stress and secure environments Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse treatment Attention to detail and accurate documentation Ability to maintain safety, professionalism, and ethical standards
