Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate, skilled private-duty nurse to provide personalized care to patients in their homes in the McKinney, TX area. The ideal candidate will have a strong nursing background and experience in various medical settings, including Level I Trauma Centers. This role requires assessing patient needs, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Duties Monitor and record vital signs to assess patient health status. Administer medications as prescribed and manage medication schedules. Provide vent/trach or g button care as needed. Conduct diagnostic evaluations to determine patient conditions. Assist with discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions from hospital to home or assisted living. Utilize neonatal ventilators for patients requiring respiratory support. Perform suturing and wound care as necessary. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and families about health management and treatment options. Stay informed about workers' compensation laws relevant to patient care. Qualifications Valid nursing license in the state of Texas. Experience in assisted living or home health settings preferred. Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and discharge planning processes. Knowledge of vent/trach and g-button protocols is a plus. Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and families. $25.00 - $36.00 per hour
