Registered Nurse (RN) NICU Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Full Time, 36 Hours, 7:00pm
- 7:00am NICU Department highlights:
- Fast-paced Level
III NICU
- Provides care for 22+ weeks
- Cooling, High Frequency Ventilator
- Supportive leadership supporting opportunities for certification in High-Risk Neonatal Nursing Here's What You Need
- Diploma in Nursing required or
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
- BSN preferred
- One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
- Two years of NICU experience strongly preferred
- RN•Registered Nurse upon hire required and • BCLS•Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and • NRP•Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days and • NRPA•Advance Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days and • CPI•Crisis Prevention Intervention training required within 90 days and maintained annually What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process • Assesses the patient • Plans the care of the patient • Intervenes as appropriate • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers. Additional perks of being a Texas Health Nurse
