Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Progressive Care Unit Full Time
  • Nights _Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together_ Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Full Time 36 Hours, Nights; 7:00 pm
  • 7:00 am;

  • Nursing Diploma required
  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
  • BSN preferred
  • One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program required
  • One-year strong Medical Telemetry experience in an Acute Care setting strongly preferred
  • RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care
  • BCLS
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire What You Will Do
  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
  • Intermediate care focused
