  • Registered Nurse upon hire required BCLS
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire required ACLS
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire required PALS
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 days required CPI
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 60 days required What You Will Do
OPERATIONS & CLINICAL RESPONSE
Responds to emergency situations such as Codes, RRTs and Behavioral Health Emergencies Responds to emergencies, rapid response or clinically complex events and serves as a clinical resource during emergency situations Engages in clinical team activities for midline and PICC line placement as appropriate Communication with other care providers is timely, accurate, and complete Promotes d decision making through collaborative/consultative relationships with nursing administration, department leadership, general nursing staff and other department staff
CUSTOMER SUPPORT/PATIENT EXPERIENCE
Responds to patient, visitor and physician concerns Provides support during challenging interpersonal or care coordination situations and escalates concerns appropriately Offers communication support to patients and families during difficult situations and engages appropriate leadership when escalation is needed Serves as a patient advocate and supports service recovery efforts in coordination with unit leadership Demonstrates cultural awareness communication and decisions
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT/PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Continuing professional education and growth through formal and informal means Seeking learning opportunities for professional growth and role enhancement Continues to develop nursing knowledge and skills, including clinical decision-making, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice Active participation in Nursing/Hospital Committee Complies with hospital policies, the Nurse Practice Act and the ANA Code of Ethics
