Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is available for skilled nursing professionals and certified surgical technologists with expertise in the operating room. This contract role is tailored for candidates passionate about perioperative care and surgical teamwork.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM On-call rotation: 2-3 days per week, including every other weekend
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse with operating room experience, or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with NBSTSA credentials Minimum of two years' experience in an operating room environment Valid, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification High school diploma or equivalent, as required Must reside at least 100 miles away
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care or technical support to surgical teams in the operating room Prepare, organize, and maintain the sterile field and surgical instruments Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow healthcare professionals to ensure safety and smooth workflow Manage preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient requirements diligently Maintain compliance with procedural standards, infection control protocols, and documentation procedures Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled, responding effectively to urgent surgical needs
