Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization's vision and mission. Utilizes knowledge of patient's developmental age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient and family-centered care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Qualifications Minimum Position Requirements Work Experience:

Full Time - None Required Part Time, PRN, Contract, and Travelers - at least one year experience required

License/Registration/Certification:

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas or Compact Licensure Certification by Unit Departments Upon Hire Obtained within 6 months from Date of Hire Obtained within 12 months from Date of Hire Obtained within 18 months from Date of Hire

• For Float Pool, ACLS and PALS are required upon hire.
• For Emergency Dept.

RNs, in addition to above, NRP is required within 12 months and STABLE within 18 months Education and Training Associate degree in Nursing required. Skills Possesses critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Possesses effective oral and written communication skills. Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills. Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
