Statpick is a nurse-founded startup that helps healthcare workers level up their game in new environments. Think of us like an Uber-style platform or a high-tech PRN float pool where you get to pick up shifts at freestanding ERs (FSERs) across DFW. Currently, our strongest relationships are with FSERs in the Frisco area—so if you live nearby or are willing to drive a bit for a higher hourly rate, we want to talk to you. We believe healthcare staffing can be fair, flexible, and highly profitable for nurses. We want you to have the ultimate flexibility to live your life while bringing home as much cash as possible. But because we are a startup, we do things a little differently. Please read the sections below before applying. ###
The Reality Check:
What It's Like Joining a Startup We aren't a massive, legacy staffing agency with twenty years of rigid infrastructure. We are building the future of nursing flexibility in real-time. Here is the honest truth about what to expect:
The Technical Hurdles:
Our platform is new. There will be occasional technical glitches, app app delays, or clunky workflows as we iron out the kinks.
The Operational Growing Pains:
Because we don't have decades of history, processes aren't always perfectly smooth.
What We Need From You:
We are looking for a few select nurses who have the courage to try something new, the patience to handle a little frustration, and the adaptability to roll with the punches. ###
Our Promise:
Your License is Our Top Priority While joining a startup carries a different kind of operational risk (dealing with a new company versus an established giant), this does not mean clinical risk. > A Note from our
Nurse Founder:
> "I am a nurse first. I know exactly how hard you worked for your license, and I want to be 100% clear: Protecting your nursing license is my absolute top priority. > While you might experience some administrative or technical frustration with our app, I will do everything in my power to keep you clinically and legally safe. We only partner with reputable facilities, and we will always have your back when you are on the floor. The risk here is just the novelty of the business—not your professional safety." Who You Are Possess a strong sense of clinical autonomy (you know your stuff and thrive in FSER environments). A "pioneer" mindset—you get excited about being on the ground floor of something disruptively positive for the nursing community. Patient, adaptable, and willing to communicate openly with us as we grow together. What's In It For You?
Top-Tier Compensation:
Higher dollars per hour to reward you for your expertise and your willingness to grow with us.
Ultimate Flexibility:
Pick up the shifts you want, when you want them. A Voice in the
Tech:
Your feedback will directly shape how our platform evolves. You aren't just a number; you are a founding member of our float community.
Please Note:
StatPick is a direct-matching local healthcare talent network. This listing is for continuous recruitment to build our founding DFW emergency nursing pool. By applying, you are fast-tracking your credentialing so you can claim open shifts across our network the moment they go live.
Job Responsibilities Acute Triage & Assessment:
Deliver comprehensive, rapid patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and emergency triage for diverse patient populations (pediatrics, geriatrics, and behavioral health).
Emergency Interventions:
Administer medications, blood products, and emergency treatments with high precision, including starting IV lines, managing central lines, and executing acute protocols.
Diagnostic Evaluation:
Conduct point-of-care testing, laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and prepare patients for urgent radiology or CT imaging scans.
Resuscitation & Stabilization:
Assist physicians with advanced life support procedures, including intubation, conscious sedation, cardioversion, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as needed.
Clinical Documentation:
Maintain meticulous, HIPAA-compliant patient electronic health records (EHR) using advanced systems such as Epic and Cerner to ensure accurate billing and recordkeeping.
Discharge & Transfer Coordination:
Coordinate efficient patient discharge processing or facilitate seamless ambulance transfers to inpatient facilities for critical cases.
Experience & Requirements Clinical Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of verifiable critical care experience working as an RN in an acute care hospital ER or a freestanding emergency department.
Technical Proficiency:
Hands-on experience with major EMR/EHR systems (such as Epic or Cerner) for accurate charting and fast-paced order entry.
Clinical Autonomy:
Proven ability to work independently, manage high-acuity workflows efficiently, and maintain exceptional patient care standards without constant direct supervision.
Certifications & Licensure License:
Current, unencumbered Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or an active Multistate Compact License.
Life Support:
Active BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association.
Pay:
$45.00 - $65.00 per hour
Benefits:
