Registered Nurse (RN)•Neuroscience PCU•Full-time, 7P Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are better + together Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours : Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, Night shift Department highlights: 25-bed
Neuroscience PCU Nurse:
Patient ratio: 1:3 The Neuro Progressive Care Unit provides care to a patient population with neuro related injuries and pre•and post-surgical patients requiring specialized monitoring and interventions, including seizures, epilepsy and brain tumors. Cares for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, management of chest tubes, vent and tracheostomy care, wound/skin care, titration of insulin drips for patients with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) diagnosis, respiratory compromised patients that require specialized equipment including continuous respiratory interventions, multi-system organ failure, respiratory distress, sepsis, hematology, GI Bleeds, Renal/Liver Failure, Acid-Base and Electrolyte Imbalances, and cardiac abnormalities. MAGNET facility Level I Trauma Center Certified comprehensive stroke center The department prides itself in high performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
