In this pivotal role, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality end-of-life care, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and fostering a supportive environment for patients, families, and staff. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, promote best practices in nursing administration, and uphold the organization's mission to provide compassionate hospice services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while managing a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Duties Lead and supervise nursing staff, including nurse managers and direct caregivers, to ensure delivery of exceptional hospice care aligned with patient needs and organizational standards Facilitate passing survey with CHAP and TXHHS Develop, review, and update individualized care plans that incorporate residents' physiology, anatomy, and medical history to optimize comfort and quality of life Oversee compliance with Medicare regulations, CHAP, HIPAA privacy standards, and other healthcare laws governing hospice services Manage documentation review processes, including medical records, care documentation, MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, and medical terminology accuracy within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) platforms Coordinate shift management to ensure adequate staffing coverage while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety Facilitate training sessions on nursing best practices, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and use of EMR/EHR systems for staff development Monitor quality assurance initiatives by reviewing documentation accuracy, care plan effectiveness, and compliance audits to uphold regulatory standards Qualifications Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health agencies or hospice care environments with demonstrated leadership capabilities Strong background in nursing administration with supervising experience in acute care settings or similar healthcare environments Extensive knowledge of Medicare regulations, medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and documentation review processes Familiarity with EMR systems and EHR platforms used for managing medical records and care documentation Demonstrated ability to manage shift schedules effectively while leading a multidisciplinary team Excellent management skills with a focus on nurse management, staff supervision, and leadership development Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and compliance requirements related to medical records confidentiality Join us in delivering compassionate hospice care that truly makes a difference!
