Job Description
Transitional Registered Nurse, Mom/Baby
- Full Time, Nights Transitional Registered Nurse, Mom/Baby Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 North Dallas Parkway, Frisco Texas 75033 Work hours: Full Time, 36 Hours, 7:00pm
- 7:00am Mom/Baby Department Highlights
- 22-bed Maternal/Newborn, couplet care unit
- Breastfeeding education and support
- May Float to the 6-bed Level II NICU to assist with feeders and growers
- Part of the Texas 10-step program Here's What You Need
- Diploma in Nursing required or
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required or
- BSN preferred
- One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
- RN upon hire required AND
- BCLS
- Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- NRP
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required
- CPI
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days and maintained annually What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers. Additional perks of being a Texas Health Nurse
