3 x 12-Hour Shifts Per Week Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have strong labor and delivery experience, excellent fetal monitoring skills, and the ability to respond effectively to obstetric emergencies while delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Active RN License. Current BLS Certification. Minimum two (2) years of current Labor & Delivery RN experience in a hospital setting. Strong experience managing labor, delivery, and postpartum patients. Proficiency in fetal monitoring interpretation. Experience responding to obstetric emergencies. Strong IV therapy and medication administration skills. Ability to assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications ACLS Certification. NRP Certification. Experience in high-volume Labor & Delivery units. Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases. Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor progression. Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections. Administer medications, IV fluids, and obstetric treatments as ordered. Respond to obstetric emergencies including fetal distress, hemorrhage, and preeclampsia. Operate and interpret fetal monitoring systems. Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately. Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams. Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care. Support newborn stabilization and immediate post-delivery care.
