Role:
NorthStar Energy Solutions is hiring! We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to support the health and well-being of our workforce in a fast-paced utility construction environment. This role plays a critical part in employee health services, injury case management, regulatory compliance, and wellness support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, and knowledgeable in occupational health practices, with the ability to effectively engage both field and office personnel.
What You'll Do:
Provide occupational health support for employees across field and office operations Assess and respond to workplace injuries and illnesses Coordinate first-aid, follow-up care, and return-to-work programs Manage workers' compensation cases in collaboration with HR, Safety, and third-party administrators Maintain confidential employee health records in compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements Support post-offer physicals, fit-for-duty evaluations, drug and alcohol testing, and medical surveillance programs Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable occupational health regulations Partner with Safety teams to identify trends and recommend preventative actions Deliver health education, wellness guidance, and case follow-up for employees Serve as a trusted resource to supervisors and leadership on occupational health matters Coordinate with external clinics, providers, and emergency facilities as needed Participate in incident reviews and assist with documentation and reporting
What You'll Bring:
Job Requirements Current, unrestricted RN license Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred 3+ years of nursing experience required; occupational health, emergency, urgent care, or case management strongly preferred Experience supporting construction, industrial, utility, or field-based environments preferred Working knowledge of workers' compensation, OSHA recordkeeping, and return-to-work processes Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism Excellent communication and collaboration skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion BLS certification required; COHN or COHN-S certification preferred

Possess critical thinking skills. Able to effectively communicate with others. Ability to communicate in writing. Requires excellent clinical documentation skills
