Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a PRN LVN, you will provide high-quality nursing care across various settings, including long-term care, assisted living, and acute care environments. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by delivering personalized care with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise will support patient recovery, comfort, and overall well-being while adhering to all regulatory standards and best practices. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine individual needs. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following physician orders and safety protocols. Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, wound suturing, tube feeding, and sterile processing techniques. Manage patient documentation accurately using Electronic Medical Record systems like Kinnser, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory impairments, or behavioral health conditions. Support acute pain management strategies and participate in discharge planning for post-acute or outpatient care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on case management, triage assessments, and infection control measures to optimize patient outcomes. Experience Candidates should possess prior LVN experience in diverse healthcare settings such as homecare environment. Familiarity with
ICD-9/10
coding for medical documentation and proficiency in electronic medical record systems like Kinnser. Additional experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges—including those requiring Alzheimer's or dementia care—is advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medication administration protocols—including IV insertion—and basic life support certification.
