Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse (RN) Floor Nurse, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and recovery. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing services across various hospital units, including medical-surgical, ICU, emergency, and specialty departments. Your energetic approach and dedication will help create a positive environment for patients, families, and staff alike. We are seeking motivated RNs who thrive in fast-paced settings and are passionate about delivering exceptional care with compassion and professionalism. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and medical terminology standards. Manage airway care, ventilator support, IV infusions, catheterization procedures, and aseptic techniques to ensure optimal patient safety. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, and those with complex conditions like trauma or infectious diseases. Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection/processing, radiology coordination (e.g., CT scans), and wound suturing when necessary. Provide patient education on medication administration, pain management strategies, nutrition, discharge planning, and health coaching to empower patients in their recovery journey. Maintain meticulous medical documentation adhering to NCQA standards and ICD coding requirements for accurate case management and billing purposes. Experience Proven experience in acute care settings such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit), emergency room, or trauma centers with Level I or Level II trauma center exposure preferred. Hands-on experience with cardiac catheterization procedures, dialysis treatments, hospice & palliative medicine, or post-acute care environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency working with EMR/EHR systems like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for efficient documentation and patient tracking. Background in specialized areas including ophthalmology (botulinum toxin treatment), infectious disease care, geriatrics (including memory care), or behavioral health enhances your candidacy. Critical care experience involving ventilator management, acute pain management, trauma medicine, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous. Knowledge of occupational health protocols such as Workers' Compensation law or infection control practices is a plus.
