Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Infusion Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in infusion therapy, patient assessment, and medication administration, with a focus on delivering safe and effective care. This role involves working closely with patients to manage their infusion treatments while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and protocols. Responsibilities Administer intravenous (IV) infusions, including medications, fluids, and nutrients, following established protocols and aseptic techniques. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine suitability for infusion therapy and monitor patient responses throughout treatment. Educate patients on infusion procedures, potential side effects, and post-treatment care to promote understanding and compliance. Maintain accurate medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring all records are complete and compliant with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs. Monitor for adverse reactions or complications during infusion sessions and respond promptly to ensure patient safety. Adhere to infection control standards and maintain sterile techniques during all procedures to prevent contamination or infection risks. Requirements Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Proven experience in infusion therapy, including IV insertion, catheter care, and medication administration. Strong knowledge of physiology, pharmacology, and aseptic techniques relevant to infusion nursing. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner is preferred. Experience working with diverse patient populations including those with developmental disabilities, geriatrics, or chronic illnesses such as oncology or infectious disease care. Ability to perform detailed patient assessments and respond effectively to acute pain management needs. Critical care experience or ICU background is highly desirable for managing complex cases. Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care.
