As a Level 2 trauma center, the facility offers advanced medical care with specialized ICU units, including Neuro-ICU capabilities, ensuring high-quality patient care in a supportive professional environment.

  • Acute Care Job Details:
  • 14 shifts per month (12-hour shifts) following a Tuesday-Monday work schedule
  • Coverage includes both day shifts (6am-6pm) and night shifts (6pm-6am)
  • Typical monthly schedule: 7 day shifts, 7 days off, 7 night shifts
  • 14-16 patient encounters per shift in ICU setting
  • Must be an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) due to ICU acuity
  • PAs not considered
  • Potential placement in Neuro-ICU (neurology/neurosurgery patients)
  • neuro experience a plus
  • Daily responsibilities include admissions, discharges, running codes, and procedures
  • Procedures may include intubation, central line placement, trialysis lines, and arterial lines
  • Communication with internal floors and managing transfers
  • Physician support available during day shifts and by phone at night
  • Prefer candidates with 1-2 years of experience (training/shadowing available if needed)
  • Must have active TX License and TX DEA
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days
  • Tentative start date: April 1, 2026 (after credentialing completion)
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Paid Travel and Lodging.
