Benefits may vary based upon position type and/or level. Job Summary You will work as needed as a Wound Care Registered Nurse, applying our nursing model to patient care. Your role includes assessing patients and addressing nursing issues related to health problems. You will also evaluate patient responses to care. Your job involves more than nursing. Help patients safely navigate their healthcare journey by understanding their needs. Ensure patients move smoothly through healthcare encounters without complications or delays. Essential Functions of the Role Complete detailed clinical assessments following standard practices to prioritize patient and family needs. Adjust care plans to reach desired outcomes. Participate earnestly in initiatives aimed at improving quality and performance. You will strive to relieve physical and emotional pain, promoting healing for the patients under your care. You will acknowledge and respect patients' unique differences and incorporate them into tailored care plans. Advocate for patient confidentiality and autonomy at all times. Become a resource for learning, facilitating educational opportunities for patients, their families, and staff. Maintain a spirit of collaboration, partnering with colleagues and the community to improve patient care. Apply resourceful problem-solving skills with a systems-thinking approach. Continue to develop as a professional, taking part in professional development opportunities and providing community service when available. Key Success Factors Possessing a solid understanding of nursing and patient care standards and procedures will enable you to thrive in this role. Awareness of the laws, rules, regulations, standards, and guidelines of certifying bodies is necessary. The ability to communicate clearly and interact effectively with a diverse range of people is crucial. A knack for critical thinking and problem-solving will help you excel. Being vigilant in observing changes in medical conditions and able to communicate these changes effectually is vital. Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and tools used for documenting medical information, is required. Min. of 6 months of wound care RN experience Registration as a licensed nurse is mandatory (RN) Basic Life Support certification (BLS) is required within (30) thirty days of starting the job.
