We operate from our main office in Terrell, TX and are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to meet the needs of those we serve. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) - On-Call to join our compassionate team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, critical care experience, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care in a hospice setting. As an on-call RN, you will provide vital support by responding to patient needs promptly and ensuring comfort, safety, and quality of life for our patients during off-hours. Schedule Thursday 5:00 PM through Monday 8:30 AM Responsibilities Respond promptly to patient calls during on-call hours, assessing symptoms and providing appropriate guidance or interventions. Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, symptom management, and psychosocial support. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans aligned with patient wishes and medical directives. Manage medication administration and monitor for adverse reactions or changes in condition. Document all interactions accurately in medical records while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide discharge planning support and communicate effectively with primary care providers and family members. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards in all patient interactions. Requirements Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation processes. Strong skills in patient assessment, case management, and utilization management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations compassionately and professionally. Ability to work independently during on-call hours while maintaining high standards of patient service and safety.
Pay:
$68,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
