Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care during the night shift. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, including expertise in critical care, long-term care, and medical documentation. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment where patient safety, comfort, and well-being are paramount. The LVN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, supporting interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities Administer medications, including injections, following prescribed protocols while monitoring patient responses. Conduct thorough patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to inform care plans. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Yardi and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or those requiring memory or behavioral health management. Maintain infection control standards through proper specimen collection, processing, and adherence to safety protocols. Requirements Valid LVN license in the state of employment with current certification. Proven experience in Assisted Living Facilities is helpful. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring hospice or palliative care. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to acute and chronic conditions. Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams during night shifts.
