Key Qualifications:
Current and unencumbered RN license (Texas or compact) Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Cath Lab nursing BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred) Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management skills Experience with a variety of cath lab equipment and procedures
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures and related interventions Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures Monitor patient status, respond to emergencies, and provide post-procedure care Maintain cath lab equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record Educate patients and families on procedure preparation and post-care instructions
