This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care across various clinical settings, including acute care hospitals, outpatient clinics, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a broad knowledge of medical procedures, EMR systems, and patient assessment techniques, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care to diverse patient populations. This position offers an engaging opportunity to utilize a wide range of clinical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to improving patient outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform individualized care plans. Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques. Manage complex medical procedures such as IV infusions, catheterizations, suturing, and tube feeding with precision. Utilize EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth to document patient information meticulously and ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Provide acute pain management and participate in trauma medicine protocols within Level I or Level II trauma center environments. Perform laboratory specimen collection, processing, and documentation while maintaining infection control standards. Engage in patient education and health coaching tailored to diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory or dementia care. Qualifications Valid RN license with current registration applicable to the state of practice. Minimum of two years of nursing experience in acute care settings . Demonstrated experience working with EMR/EHR systems including Epic or Cerner. Proficiency in advanced clinical skills such as ventilator management, sterile processing techniques, and infectious disease care. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and experience managing occupational health cases is preferred. Prior experience in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities is advantageous. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology principles relevant to diverse patient populations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.
