Permanent Shift:
Days | No Routine Weekends We are seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join a highly specialized cardiovascular surgical team. This opportunity is ideal for nurses with cardiovascular operating room experience who thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical patients Maintain and monitor sterile technique throughout surgical procedures Assess and prepare patients prior to surgery Participate in surgical time-outs and ensure compliance with patient safety protocols Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and surgical staff Serve as a clinical resource and support a positive team environment Deliver high-quality patient-centered care while adhering to clinical and regulatory standards
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required Active Texas RN License or Multi-State Compact RN License Current BLS and ACLS Certifications Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting Experience in
CVOR, Operating Room, Surgical Services, and Cardiovascular Surgery Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
CNOR Certification Alternative Experience Consideration:
Experienced Operating Room Nurses with 10+ years of OR experience may be considered for CVOR cross-training
Schedule & Call Requirements:
Day Shift Position Operating Hours:
7:00 AM - 5:00
PM Schedule Options:
Four 10-hour shifts per week Three 12-hour shifts per week
On-Call Requirement:
1 Weekend Per Month 3-4 Weekday Call Shifts Per Month Candidates must reside within a 30-minute commute of the facility
