Contract Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. The RN will collaborate closely with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process. This role focuses on monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring safe transitions, and delivering patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams in delivering patient care Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for post-anesthesia patients Monitor patient recovery from anesthesia, including vital signs and pain management Assist with post-operative examinations and treatments Provide patient and family education regarding recovery and care instructions Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Respond effectively to changes in patient condition in a fast-paced PACU environment
Required Qualifications Must-Have:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Texas Minimum 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience Experience in PACU, ICU, or surgical recovery setting preferred Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Preferred Qualifications PACU experience strongly preferred ACLS and PALS certifications Experience with post-operative patient care and anesthesia recovery Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems Key Skills Patient assessment and monitoring Post-anesthesia care Critical thinking and rapid response Patient education and communication Clinical documentation For more details reach at or Call / Text at 516-862-1203 .
