Plano, TX 75093 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent and Critical Care team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in urgent and critical conditions, ensuring timely assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication with patients and healthcare team members. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments in urgent and critical care settings. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions. Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and lab results. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care. Provide patient education and counseling regarding health maintenance and disease prevention. Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., ANCC, AANP) with a focus on urgent or critical care preferred. Experience in urgent care, emergency, or critical care settings highly desirable. Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Additional Requirements Availability to work nights and weekends is preferred to meet the needs of our patient population.
