Job description Overview The Nurse Lead is a licensed Registered Nurse responsible for providing high-quality emergency patient care while overseeing daily nursing operations in a freestanding emergency center. This role combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, including staff training, scheduling, quality assurance, and ensuring compliance with facility policies and nursing standards. The Nurse Lead serves as a resource for the medical team and promotes a positive patient experience through excellent clinical care and communication. Duties Provide direct patient care, including triage, assessments, medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, and patient education. Coordinate nursing care throughout the shift and assist in managing patient flow. Support physicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments. Monitor and maintain accurate patient documentation in the EHR system. Train, mentor, and support nursing and EMT staff to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and clinical standards. Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing staff development. Create monthly schedules and communicate staffing needs to leadership. Perform laboratory quality control procedures and oversee laboratory compliance and documentation. Maintain inventory of medical supplies, medications, and equipment. Ensure patient care areas remain clean, organized, and fully stocked. Address patient concerns professionally and promote exceptional customer service. Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities. Requirements/Experience Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Room or Critical Care experience. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program preferred. Current BLS and ACLS certifications required. PALS or ENPC certification required within six (6) months of employment. TNCC certification preferred. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency care environment while managing multiple priorities. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
BONUS OPPORTUNITY
$2000 longevity bonus after 6 months of work.
