This role involves caring for critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring, ventilator support, and rapid clinical intervention. The ICU RN will assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans, assist with procedures, and respond to life‑saving situations. This position requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to perform effectively in a high‑acuity environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU RN experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) Active Texas or compact RN license Strong knowledge of critical care protocols and advanced life support Experience with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive care to critically ill ICU patients Assess patient status and implement individualized care plans Manage ventilators and monitor critical care equipment Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered Assist physicians with procedures and emergency interventions Monitor and document vital signs and patient responses Respond to life‑threatening situations using established protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Provide education and support to patients and families
