Job Description
Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

We are also a recognized site for Oncology and Hematology clinical trials, giving our patients access to cutting-edge treatments and research opportunities. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to improving patient outcomes while providing the highest level of care in a supportive, collaborative environment. We are currently seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to be a part of our patient care team in both clinical and research settings.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to Oncology and Hematology patients, including assessments, diagnostics, and treatment planning.
- Screen patients for eligibility and enrollment in clinical trials, ensuring they understand the process and benefits.
- Manage patient care throughout the continuum, including chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and follow-up care.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests such as lab work, imaging, and biopsies.
- Prescribe medications, including chemotherapy agents, supportive care medications, and other treatments as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about their diagnoses, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Monitor patients' progress and coordinate care with Oncologists, Hematologists, and other specialists. Provide emotional support to patients and families, ensuring high levels of compassion and understanding.
- Document patient care accurately and in compliance with organizational protocols.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in Oncology and Hematology to ensure evidence-based practices are applied.
Qualifications:
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Texas.
- Current CPR/BLS or ACLS
- Experience in Oncology/Hematology preferred
- Knowledge of Oncology and Hematology clinical practices, chemotherapy, and other treatments.
- Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
