Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Travel Step into a dynamic role as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to work alongside skilled surgical teams, manage patient care pre-, intra-, and post-operatively, and deliver excellence throughout the perioperative process.
Key Qualifications:
Active and unencumbered RN license Minimum of one year of recent experience in an Operating Room setting Current BLS and ACLS certifications Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, and patient safety standards Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills Ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR support staff
Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and ready Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and advocate for patient safety and comfort Implement physician orders, administer prescribed medications, and monitor vital signs Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide prompt, accurate assistance Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including intraoperative documentation Adhere to all hospital and nursing standards, as well as regulatory policies Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the perioperative environment This role presents a valuable opportunity to enhance your surgical nursing knowledge, interact with a diverse patient population, and develop a broad skillset in a fast-paced atmosphere.
