Job Description
Hurricane Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and dedicated LPN/RN to join our growing team! As an LPN/RN at our facility, you'll have the opportunity to provide exceptional care while helping our residents maintain comfort and dignity. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and track the total care of each patient, adhering to protocols, policies, and procedures. Maintain accurate records of patient history, including diagnostic tests, medications, vital signs, daily weights, and fluid intake/output. Monitor and evaluate patients' responses to treatment plans, adjusting care as necessary. Prepare and maintain charts, reports, and logs to document treatment outcomes. Observe and communicate patient symptoms and conditions to physicians. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans. Perform routine procedures (e.g., blood pressure checks, injections) and update patient charts. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Inspect the facility to ensure hygiene and safety standards are met. Provide immediate medical care during emergencies. Create a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families. Expand professional knowledge through workshops, conferences, and training sessions.Requirements and Qualifications:
Valid LPN/RN nursing license Strong knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures Ability to maintain professional relationships with colleagues and vendors Adherence to confidentiality, compliance, and harassment prevention policies Completion of mandatory compliance training and Code of Conduct requirementsPhysical and Environmental Requirements:
Ability to move throughout the workday, including frequent bending, squatting, twisting, and reaching Ability to stand, walk for extended periods, and lift/carry up to 25 pounds Infrequent lifting of up to 100+ pounds with assistance Frequent pushing, pulling, and transporting of residents Ability to cope with mental and emotional demands of the position Work indoors with some exposure to noise, odors, chemicals, and bloodborne pathogensWork Environment:
