1 Description American Traveler is hiring a compassionate Hospice RN to provide skilled end-of-life nursing care to patients in their homes, with a minimum of 3 years of experience and an active UT or compact RN license required. Details Home-based hospice care setting, with care delivered in patients' preferred place of residence Serves terminally ill patients requiring pain and symptom management, end-of-life support, and individualized care planning Day shift schedule On-call rotation required, approximately 1-3 shifts per week including 3 weekends over the 13-week contract Must be able to respond within 45 minutes to patient needs when on call Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for home visits Hospicesoft/Careficient EMR experience preferred Holiday coverage required (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day) Requirements Active RN license in Utah or a compact state currently in hand Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in hospice, home health, or palliative care Current BLS certification required Strong clinical assessment skills Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation Additional Information Perform comprehensive patient assessments and coordinate individualized hospice care plans Provide pain and symptom management in accordance with each patient's plan of care Educate and support patients and families on the disease process, self-care techniques, and end-of-life issues Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies Blue scrubs preferred Pre-employment drug test and background check required Located in Moab, Utah — a scenic destination surrounded by Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, offering year-round outdoor recreation and a vibrant communitySimilar jobs in Moab, UT
