Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients across various settings, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality. •This opportunity is a mobile position• Duties Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations for patients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Provide medication management and education to patients regarding their treatment options. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, and phlebotomy as needed. Engage in telehealth consultations to expand access to care for patients. Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance treatment methodologies. Provide support and education to families regarding mental health issues and resources available. Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing. Current certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Experience in behavioral health settings is preferred, including inpatient, outpatient, or emergency medicine environments. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable. Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding practices. Knowledge of psychopharmacology and acute pain management techniques. Experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Candidates should possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care while adhering to ethical standards in the practice of nursing. Pay:
$120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
