PRN- Registered Nurse

Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, Utah is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PRN- Registered Nurse to join our outstanding team! $35.00-40.62/Hour
Position Summary The Southern Utah Veterans Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care to our veteran residents. The RN will work on an as-needed basis to support the nursing team in delivering exceptional healthcare services in a long-term care environment. Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and document accordingly.
Monitor residents' health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive resident care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in resident medical records.
Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.
Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding health conditions and care plans.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
Qualifications
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Utah.
Minimum of 1 year nursing experience preferred, preferably in long-term care or geriatric settings.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Work Schedule This is a PRN (pro re nata, or as-needed) position. Hours and shifts will vary based on facility needs.
