A successful candidate will be trained as well in physician-directed fluoroscopy, to assist in fluoroscopic based procedures. The ideal candidate is one who is self-motivated, hardworking, and likes to succeed. This position will be working with a team of three Interventional Pain Medicine physicians, Radiological Technologists and RNs to provide exceptional care to our patients.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong nursing assessment and critical thinking skills Understand the appropriate technique of equipment handling, cleaning and sterilization. Maintain a collaborative team philosophy within the clinic. Enjoy working with people, being a team player and willing to help others with tasks. Must be able to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing with physicians, clinic staff and patients.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Preparing patients: Preparing the patient and equipment for procedures, such as draping the patient and arranging sterilized instruments Assessing patients: Assessing patients' medical histories and explaining procedures Monitoring patients: Monitoring patients' vital signs and conditions during procedures Administering medications: Administering intravenous medications to patients Assisting with procedures: Assisting physicians as needed, and performing circulating functions or scrub roles during procedures; sterile tray prep, positioning C-arm, saving images Providing post-procedure care: Providing post-procedure care and instructions Adhering to safety standards: Adhering to safety standards and precautions
Education and Experience:
Registered Nurse Licensure in the State of Utah.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to walk, stand or sit for extended periods. Required lifting up to 50lbs. Repetitive motion associated with operating a C-arm and other procedure equipment. Inside, climate-controlled working conditions. Granger Medical Clinic offers competitive wages and excellent benefits.
