Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Inova Health System is looking for dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join the operating room (OR) team at Alexandria Hospital. Inova Alexandria Hospital is a beautiful 318-bed community hospital located in the city of Alexandria. Our OR is equipped with 11 OR suites and 4 Endoscopy Suites. Comprehensive range of surgical specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine, general ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, robotics, podiatry, and maxillofacial. Full range of Endoscopy services including Heartburn Treatment. Sign on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide knowledgeable/caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients, families, nurses and healthcare delivery teams. Ensure all patient care activities and interactions are patient and family centered by integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care, to include patient and family education, is of vital importance. Communicating effectively and working cooperatively with others while showing respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines is required.

Job Requirements:

Experience:

At least 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience is required.

Education:

BSN or AD, if AD then must obtain BSN or MSN within 24 months from start date.

Schedule:

Full-Time, Five 8hrs (7am

• 3:30pm) per week OR Two 8hr (7am
• 3:30pm) & Two 12hr (7am
• 7pm) shifts per week OR Evening shift: 3/12hr shifts (11:00am
• 11:30pm) RN licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia BLS (AHA) for Healthcare Provider certification required CNOR highlight desired Must be available to take call when scheduled.
