Stroke Unit Weekly Pay Range:

$2500 to $2800 (D.O.E) Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med/Surg Telemetry unit with neuro and stroke patient experience. The unit provides care for adult and geriatric populations in a fast-paced acute care environment. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data Manage stroke and neurological patients in acute care settings Administer medications including insulin, heparin, and PCA Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line/PICC care Manage respiratory support (oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC) Provide wound care, isolation precautions, and post-op care Participate in rapid response/code situations as needed Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of RN experience Prior travel nursing experience required Strong Med/Surg Telemetry background Experience with patient ratio 1:7 Proficiency in Epic EMR (required) Certifications Required BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Required Skills Telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management IV insertion and maintenance Central line / PICC line care Blood product administration Respiratory care (oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care) Neurological care (CVA, TBI, post-neurosurgery) Wound care and infection control Feeding tube and ostomy care Additional Requirements Must have active VA or compact RN license in hand Must be fully cleared (no license or background hits accepted) All RTO must be disclosed at submission Unit Details Adult and Geriatric patients Daily census: ~28 patients Bed count: 30 Interdisciplinary support: IV team, RT, PT, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response, social services

Pay:

$2,500.00•$2,800.00 per week
