Travel Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) - Chester, Virginia

You'll work alongside experienced clinicians on a Med Surg/Telemetry unit serving a diverse patient population—including adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, many requiring complex, high-acuity care. Schedule:

12-hour night shifts Every other weekend and major holidays required

What You'll Do:

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans Manage patients with MS/Tele need, including those requiring BiPAP/CPAP, trachs, chest tubes, and tube feeds (Kangaroo pumps) Administer medications safely and document in

EPIC EHR

(experience preferred) Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and act as point of contact for care coordination Float to other MS/Tele units if needed Care for pre/post hemodialysis and CAPD patients Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring safety and quality outcomes

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Current RN license in Virginia or compact state (required) BLS certification (required), ACLS/CCRN/PCCN/NIH preferred Minimum 1 year acute care RN experience & 1 year travel nursing experience Proficiency with MS/Tele; CAPD experience preferred Ability to pass EKG exam on orientation (study guide available) Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and communication skills
