Flexible Days (Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM) | Option for 4x10-hour shifts
Pay:
The pay would be $26/hour (taxable) along with $1330 weekly stipends (non-taxable), making your estimated weekly gross $2370. Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality hospice care to patients in need of end-of-life support. This role involves delivering comprehensive nursing services in a patient-centered environment, ensuring comfort, dignity, and quality of life for individuals facing life-limiting illnesses. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience, including critical care, trauma, ICU, and post-acute care settings, with a strong emphasis on patient assessment and symptom management. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working within a collaborative healthcare team. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine needs and develop individualized care plans aligned with hospice protocols. Administer medications and treatments accurately, monitoring for adverse reactions and effectiveness. Provide symptom management focused on pain control, comfort measures, and emotional support. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, discharge planning, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA. Document patient progress meticulously in medical records and communicate updates to physicians and family members. Educate patients and families on disease progression, medication management, and available support services. Assist with diagnostic evaluations, vital signs monitoring, and post-acute care planning to optimize patient comfort. Participate in case management activities such as utilization review and discharge planning to facilitate seamless transitions of care. Maintain infection control standards and adhere to hospital policies related to medical terminology and physiology knowledge. Support outpatient or clinic-based hospice services as required. Skills Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), or emergency medicine settings. Strong background in hospital medicine, medical-surgical units, or post-acute care facilities. Knowledge of infectious disease care, geriatrics, behavioral health, pediatrics (PICU), and outpatient services. Familiarity with medical records management, diagnostic evaluation procedures, and case management practices. Excellent patient service skills with an emphasis on compassionate communication and cultural sensitivity. Proficiency in nursing practices including patient assessment, vital signs measurement, discharge planning, and utilization management. Understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, physiology principles, and outpatient or clinic workflows. Ability to adapt quickly in high-pressure situations such as emergency room or OR experiences. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and medical records maintenance. Commitment to continuous learning about hospital experience standards and managed care processes.
