1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel assignment at a 250-bed academic community hospital in Danville, VA, requiring at least 1 year of experience and active VA or compact RN licensure. Details Work on a 24-bed Medical-Surgical unit (Floor 5A) in an academic community hospital setting Patient population serves all ages Patient ratio of 1:6
EMR:
Meditech Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Every other weekend required Floating required on an as-needed basis On-call required on an as-needed basis 13-week contract Requirements Active RN license — VA state license or compact license required Current AHA certifications: BLS, Handling with Care (HWC), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2+ years of Med/Surg experience preferred Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates Additional Information Facility is the region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center, accredited by the ACC and American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer Comprehensive services include surgical care, 24-hour ED, cardiac cath labs, medical and radiation oncology, and an advanced wound healing center Candidates must consent to random drug screening (completed on-site) and complete a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment Any color scrubs are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
