As an RN in our ICU, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive nursing services, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal health outcomes. Responsibilities Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill patients, including those requiring ventilator support, cardiac monitoring, and hemodynamic management. Administer medications and treatments with precision, including IV infusions, injections, and specialized procedures such as suturing and catheterization. Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and interpret diagnostic data such as laboratory results, ECGs, and imaging reports. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to document patient care accurately and efficiently. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust individualized care plans. Assist with complex procedures including trauma management, cardiac catheterization, neuro assessments, and post-operative care in a Level I trauma or teaching hospital setting. Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medication administration, discharge instructions, and health coaching strategies.

Experience Experience:

Minimum of one year of ICU Registered Nurse experience.

Education :

BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.

Licensure :

RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an

RN Certifications :

BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required from American Heart Association. ACLS preferred or within 90 days.
