1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step-Down/PCU position at an acute care hospital, requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications with night shift availability. Details Acute care hospital setting with 255 staffed beds Step-Down/PCU (Progressive Care Unit) with a diverse adult medical patient population including cardiac, neuro, renal, infectious disease, and pulmonary cases Patient ratio of 1:5 Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30-07:15 Every other Saturday required; Sundays off Charting via Meditech Requirements Active VA or Compact RN license required Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Step-Down or PCU/Telemetry nursing experience required Additional Information Responsible for coordination of direct patient care and patient education Scrub color required: black or Caribbean blue Free parking available in any unrestricted space First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility
