In this role, you will be assigned to one student with specific medical needs and will be responsible for their health and safety throughout the school day. Your typical day will include monitoring the student's overall condition, documenting observations, and collaborating with teachers and school staff to ensure the student can participate safely in classroom activities. A key component of the position includes performing tube feedings twice a day according to the student's care plan, completing water flushes before the student goes home, and providing catheterization as needed in a professional, respectful manner. You will also be prepared to respond to any changes in the student's condition and provide basic first aid or emergency interventions if required. The school environment offers a predictable schedule, generally following standard school hours on weekdays. This can provide excellent work-life balance, regular routines, and holidays that align with the academic calendar.
