Job Description

UVA Community Health Prince William and Haymarket Medical Center Part Time and PRN Critical Care NP or PA UVA Community Health is seeking experienced Part Time and PRN Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join a Critical Care team of two physicians and four APPs at two of our Northern Virginia community hospitals. Both practice evidence based critical care medicine and have diverse and high acuity patient populations. Closed ICU model, with excellent nursing, RT and subspecialty support including cardiology, surgery, IR and neurology. Average census is eight patients a day with three on Ventilators. Shift work - 7am-7pm OR 7pm-7am. No call responsibilities after shift is complete. Details about the

11-bed unit at Haymarket Medical Center, with the ability to flex up to 19 beds.
Staffing model:
At Prince William in house procedurally trained
APP 24/7.
Physician in house during the day with home phone call availability Haymarket Medical Center is an eight bed mixed unit with admitting Hospitalist as attending and critical care consulting. In house 8am-5pm Monday-Saturday. Telemedicine support to Haymarket Medical Center for triage and management assistance to ED and hospitalist service for critically ill patients overnight and Sundays.
Required:
PA or NP Degree Current Virginia medical license and DEA Experience in Critical Care medicine Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges
Required:
Procedurally trained in central line and arterial line placement
