Job Description

PRN PACU RN
Prince William Ambulatory Surgery Center delivers high-quality, service-focused surgical care in a patient-centered environment where 'healthcare is better together.' This physician-owned facility, accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, features 4 ORs and 4 treatment rooms supporting multispecialty procedures including Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Urology, ENT, Pain Management, Orthopedics, and Vascular. Prince William ASC is seeking an experienced Full-Time PACU RN to join our team. Prince William ASC is a fast paced, multi-specialty surgery center committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
Job Summary:
The PACU RN is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The PACU RN provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The PACU RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The PACU RN reports to the Manager of Peri-Operative Services. Responsible for assessing patients' post-operative condition, monitoring vital signs and other indicators of recovery to ensure discharge criteria are met, and accurately logging and charting all findings in patient records. The role includes continuous observation for any changes in patient condition, promptly reporting concerns to the physician, and performing appropriate intervention duties during post-operative emergencies to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state
  • BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
  • 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
