Monday•Friday 7:30am•4:00 pm

Plan Requirements:
Education:
Associates Degree of Nursing Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Certification:
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross Healthcare Provider Course.
Experience:
Possess a minimum experience of one (1) year within the last two (2) years as an RN working in a hospital-based surgical outpatient clinic, pediatric clinical setting or inpatient setting.

Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a
Registered Nurse Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care within the Pediatric Surgery Clinic, supporting the Department of Surgery in an ambulatory care setting. The RN is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality nursing services, coordinating multidisciplinary patient care, and ensuring compliance with established clinical standards while promoting positive patient outcomes for pediatric surgical patients and their families. Independently assess, plan, organize, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in an ambulatory care environment. Utilize sound clinical judgment to make independent nursing practice decisions while providing safe and effective patient care. Deliver nursing care to patients of all ages with medical and surgical conditions, with a primary focus on pediatric surgical patients. Coordinate patient care by collaborating with physicians, specialists, ancillary departments, allied health professionals, and community referral services. Facilitate appropriate referrals and continuity of care to meet each patient's healthcare needs. Maintain and uphold professional nursing standards applicable to ambulatory care settings. Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, medications, post-operative care, and discharge instructions. Monitor patient progress and communicate significant findings or changes in condition to the healthcare team. Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow and quality patient experiences. Provide clinical guidance and technical support to licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, corpsmen, and other paraprofessional staff as appropriate. Apply fundamental leadership and management principles to support daily clinic operations and ensure quality patient care. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation within the electronic medical record. Adhere to all organizational policies, regulatory requirements, infection prevention standards, patient safety initiatives, and quality improvement programs. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, performance improvement activities, and continuing education opportunities. #INDFS
