1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Interventional Radiology position focused on MRI and CT imaging, requiring at least 12 months of RN experience and a valid VA or compact RN license. Details Outpatient Radiology unit with a focus on MRI and CT procedures Responsibilities include IV placement, point-of-care testing (POCT), and pre-procedure patient assessment Patient safety monitoring includes checking medications, vital signs, lab results, and medical history prior to imaging studies Day shift: 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM
  • 3:30 PM MRI Full Stop safety training is required for this role Requirements Active VA or compact RN license required Minimum 12 months of RN experience required BLS certification required Diagnostic imaging or radiology nursing experience preferred; progressive care background also considered Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE accreditation accepted); diploma, Associate's, and BSN degrees all accepted BSN preferred Additional Information Responsible for identifying and responding to IV infiltrations, contrast reactions, patient falls, and other patient safety events MRI safety is a key focus, with an emphasis on protecting both patients and team members entering the MRI magnet environment Candidates must not have been employed by VCU Health within the previous 12 months This is a drug-free and tobacco-free workplace; smoking is not permitted anywhere on campus The facility enforces a natural nail policy Any requested time off must be submitted at the time of application, as requests submitted after placement may be declined Travelers are not guaranteed holidays off Two professional references at the supervisor level or above will be required for consideration
