Days, Nights, Evenings, or Mixed Shifts | Rotating Weekends Required Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in rapid assessment, critical thinking, prioritization, and interdisciplinary collaboration while caring for patients with a wide range of medical conditions and emergencies. Responsibilities Rapidly assess, triage, and provide care to emergency department patients across all age groups. Prioritize nursing interventions based on patient acuity and clinical needs. Manage multiple patient cases simultaneously while maintaining quality and safety standards. Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as ordered. Collaborate with physicians, ancillary departments, patients, and families to coordinate care. Participate in patient discharge planning and education. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation. Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in clinical status. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards. Support a collaborative and team-oriented emergency care environment. Required Qualifications Active Virginia RN License or Compact RN License. Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). Current BLS Certification (AHA). Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience preferred. Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency care environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or active BSN enrollment. Previous Emergency Department experience. Trauma, Critical Care, or Acute Care nursing background. Experience with emergency triage and rapid patient assessment.
