  • Full-time Job Overview Center for Plastic Surgery, a Plastic and Reconstructive surgery practice is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN to join our team. This position will share time between our 2 offices located in Tyson's Corner (Monday
  • Friday 8:00am
  • 5:00pm) and 2 Thursdays a month in Chevy Chase 12:00
  • 5:00pm. Responsibilities
  • Assisting in all clinics regardless of assigned surgeon
  • Drain removal appointments, tissue expander fill, suture removal from all surgical sites, seroma drainage assistance
  • Wound care in appointments and education to patient
  • Minor room procedure assistance
  • Conducting and teaching in PreOp appt
  • Prepping PreOp documents (labeling, list for PACU, photos, consents)
  • Washing/packaging the instruments, running the autoclave
  • Fax office notes and testing orders to other physicians
  • Referring/coordinating appointments for patients to outside specialties
  • Inventory of medical supplies and garments, stocking patient rooms with gowns and supplies
  • Scheduling Minor Room Appointments
  • Answering patient concerns and questions via email and phone calls
  • Triage patient calls regarding urgent surgical concerns
  • Following up on patient testing documents
  • Updating patient literature
  • Garment sizing/body measurements
  • Documenting patient appointment/notes
  • Attain + manage photo/social media consents
  • Enroll patients in Motiva Study/Obtain study consents Experience Must like a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication and nursing skills.
Valid license to work in Virginia and Maryland (or able to obtain) Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience is required. Plastic Surgery experience is a plus The Center for Plastic Surgery, CPS, was established in 1986. It combines the reconstructive and cosmetic surgery practices of Dr. Samir S. Rao, Dr. Frank P. Albino, Dr. Arjun Kanuri and Dr. Christopher Fleury. With a reputation for aesthetic judgment, surgical skill and artistry, our surgeons work together to offer patients a comprehensive range of options for specialized aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. The Center for Plastic Surgery has two offices in the Washington DC area, minutes from the Washington Beltway in Chevy Chase, Maryland and Northern Virginia. We see patients for surgical and skin care consultations, BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment, filler injections, Metabolic Aesthetics and other services in both offices.
